Maaike @ Mercy Ships
Omschrijving:
Ruim 10 jaar geleden kwam ik in aanraking met de Mercy Ships, een christelijke organisatie die hoop en genezing wil brengen aan de zieken en allerarmsten van de wereld. Zij doet dit door operaties die in het land zelf niet worden uitgevoerd of onbetaalbaar zijn voor de bevolking, gratis te verrichten op een schip dat ingericht is als ziekenhuis. Er is op dit moment één schip in de vaart; de ‘Africa Mercy’. Dit schip vaart langs verschillende West-Afrikaanse landen en ligt daar dan een aantal maanden in de haven om de mensen te ontvangen. Het was voor mij sindsdien een droom om op zo’n schip te kunnen werken.
Ik geloof dat we als kinderen van God mogen dromen en dat God de verlangens die we hebben, wil gebruiken. Ik heb een lange tijd in de leugen geloofd dat iedereen toch wel zoiets zou willen en dat ik daar niet goed genoeg voor was. Maar voor God zijn we wel goed genoeg. U bent uniek en ik ben uniek. We hebben allemaal onze eigen talenten en mogelijkheden, Hij wil die juist gebruiken. Ik ontdekte hierin Gods hart en besefte dat ik deze ‘droom’ mocht gaan nastreven.
Het praktisch toepassen van mijn geloof in de opgestane Heer Jezus is iets wat ik graag doe. Wat dat betreft past het werk van de Mercy Ships erg goed bij mij.
Op 20 september ben ik door Evangelische Gemeente Jozua uitgezonden worden als zendeling. Op 2 oktober ben ik naar Benin gevlogen om een paar dagen later te beginnen met mijn werkzaamheden als verpleegkundige.
Het schip ligt tot half december nog in de haven van Cotonou, Benin.
Het werk is op vrijwillige basis met kosten voor voedsel en onderdak op eigen rekening, dit geldt voor alle medewerkers. Hierdoor kunnen alle operaties gratis gedaan worden!

Maaike @ Mercy Ships
Omschrijving:
Ruim 10 jaar geleden kwam ik in aanraking met de Mercy Ships, een christelijke organisatie die hoop en genezing wil brengen aan de zieken en allerarmsten van de wereld. Zij doet dit door operaties die in het land zelf niet worden uitgevoerd of onbetaalbaar zijn voor de bevolking, gratis te verrichten op een schip dat ingericht is als ziekenhuis. Er is op dit moment één schip in de vaart; de ‘Africa Mercy’. Dit schip vaart langs verschillende West-Afrikaanse landen en ligt daar dan een aantal maanden in de haven om de mensen te ontvangen. Het was voor mij sindsdien een droom om op zo’n schip te kunnen werken.
Ik geloof dat we als kinderen van God mogen dromen en dat God de verlangens die we hebben, wil gebruiken. Ik heb een lange tijd in de leugen geloofd dat iedereen toch wel zoiets zou willen en dat ik daar niet goed genoeg voor was. Maar voor God zijn we wel goed genoeg. U bent uniek en ik ben uniek. We hebben allemaal onze eigen talenten en mogelijkheden, Hij wil die juist gebruiken. Ik ontdekte hierin Gods hart en besefte dat ik deze ‘droom’ mocht gaan nastreven.
Het praktisch toepassen van mijn geloof in de opgestane Heer Jezus is iets wat ik graag doe. Wat dat betreft past het werk van de Mercy Ships erg goed bij mij.
Op 20 september ben ik door Evangelische Gemeente Jozua uitgezonden worden als zendeling. Op 2 oktober ben ik naar Benin gevlogen om een paar dagen later te beginnen met mijn werkzaamheden als verpleegkundige.
Het schip ligt tot half december nog in de haven van Cotonou, Benin.
Het werk is op vrijwillige basis met kosten voor voedsel en onderdak op eigen rekening, dit geldt voor alle medewerkers. Hierdoor kunnen alle operaties gratis gedaan worden!

Maaike @ Mercy Ships
Omschrijving:
Ruim 10 jaar geleden kwam ik in aanraking met de Mercy Ships, een christelijke organisatie die hoop en genezing wil brengen aan de zieken en allerarmsten van de wereld. Zij doet dit door operaties die in het land zelf niet worden uitgevoerd of onbetaalbaar zijn voor de bevolking, gratis te verrichten op een schip dat ingericht is als ziekenhuis. Er is op dit moment één schip in de vaart; de ‘Africa Mercy’. Dit schip vaart langs verschillende West-Afrikaanse landen en ligt daar dan een aantal maanden in de haven om de mensen te ontvangen. Het was voor mij sindsdien een droom om op zo’n schip te kunnen werken.
Ik geloof dat we als kinderen van God mogen dromen en dat God de verlangens die we hebben, wil gebruiken. Ik heb een lange tijd in de leugen geloofd dat iedereen toch wel zoiets zou willen en dat ik daar niet goed genoeg voor was. Maar voor God zijn we wel goed genoeg. U bent uniek en ik ben uniek. We hebben allemaal onze eigen talenten en mogelijkheden, Hij wil die juist gebruiken. Ik ontdekte hierin Gods hart en besefte dat ik deze ‘droom’ mocht gaan nastreven.
Het praktisch toepassen van mijn geloof in de opgestane Heer Jezus is iets wat ik graag doe. Wat dat betreft past het werk van de Mercy Ships erg goed bij mij.
Op 20 september ben ik door Evangelische Gemeente Jozua uitgezonden worden als zendeling. Op 2 oktober ben ik naar Benin gevlogen om een paar dagen later te beginnen met mijn werkzaamheden als verpleegkundige.
Het schip ligt tot half december nog in de haven van Cotonou, Benin.
Het werk is op vrijwillige basis met kosten voor voedsel en onderdak op eigen rekening, dit geldt voor alle medewerkers. Hierdoor kunnen alle operaties gratis gedaan worden!

Reis:
Maaike @ Mercy Ships
Omschrijving:
Ruim 10 jaar geleden kwam ik in aanraking met de Mercy Ships, een christelijke organisatie die hoop en genezing wil brengen aan de zieken en allerarmsten van de wereld. Zij doet dit door operaties die in het land zelf niet worden uitgevoerd of onbetaalbaar zijn voor de bevolking, gratis te verrichten op een schip dat ingericht is als ziekenhuis. Er is op dit moment één schip in de vaart; de ‘Africa Mercy’. Dit schip vaart langs verschillende West-Afrikaanse landen en ligt daar dan een aantal maanden in de haven om de mensen te ontvangen. Het was voor mij sindsdien een droom om op zo’n schip te kunnen werken.
Ik geloof dat we als kinderen van God mogen dromen en dat God de verlangens die we hebben, wil gebruiken. Ik heb een lange tijd in de leugen geloofd dat iedereen toch wel zoiets zou willen en dat ik daar niet goed genoeg voor was. Maar voor God zijn we wel goed genoeg. U bent uniek en ik ben uniek. We hebben allemaal onze eigen talenten en mogelijkheden, Hij wil die juist gebruiken. Ik ontdekte hierin Gods hart en besefte dat ik deze ‘droom’ mocht gaan nastreven.
Het praktisch toepassen van mijn geloof in de opgestane Heer Jezus is iets wat ik graag doe. Wat dat betreft past het werk van de Mercy Ships erg goed bij mij.
Op 20 september ben ik door Evangelische Gemeente Jozua uitgezonden worden als zendeling. Op 2 oktober ben ik naar Benin gevlogen om een paar dagen later te beginnen met mijn werkzaamheden als verpleegkundige.
Het schip ligt tot half december nog in de haven van Cotonou, Benin.
Het werk is op vrijwillige basis met kosten voor voedsel en onderdak op eigen rekening, dit geldt voor alle medewerkers. Hierdoor kunnen alle operaties gratis gedaan worden!

Al meer dan 10 jaar geleden kwam ik in aanraking met de Mercy Ships, een organisatie die hoop wil brengen aan de zieken en allerarmsten van de wereld. De manier waarop dit wordt gedaan is door middel van operaties die in het land zelf niet uit worden gevoerd of onbetaalbaar zijn voor de bevolking, gratis te verrichten op een schip dat ingericht is als ziekenhuis. Daarnaast wordt er praktische hulp geboden in het land zelf en worden mensen geschoold om het eigen land verder op te bouwen.
Het praktisch toepassen van mijn geloof in de opgestane heer Jezus is iets wat ik graag doe. Wat dat betreft past het werk van de Mercy Ships erg goed bij mij. Ik wil dan ook graag de komende twee jaar op de 'Africa Mercy' gaan werken als verpleegkundige.

In de zomer van 2009 heb ik een zgn. Gateway Course van de Mercy Ships gevolgd. Hier heb ik de nodige voorbereiding voor het werken en leven aan boord van de 'Africa Mercy' gehad.
Op 20 september ben ik vanuit E.G. Jozua uitgezegend als zendeling, waarna ik op 2 oktober naar Benin ben gevlogen.
Het uitzenden betekent dat ik onderdeel blijf van de gemeente en dat er vanuit de gemeente voor mij wordt gebeden. Daarnaast is het mogelijk om via een rekeningnummer van de gemeente mij financieel te ondersteunen
Het rekeningnummer van de gemeente is 78.75.162 (ING), vermeld bij uw donatie dat het t.a.v. Maaike Rademaker is. Uw gift is dan belastingaftrekbaar.

Voor pakketjes svp duidelijk vermelden CONTAINER. Dan gaat het doosje mee met de containers die met enige regelmaat vanuit Rotterdam naar West-Afrika varen. (als dat er niet opstaat, wordt het pakket via DHL verzonden en draai ik op voor die kosten)
Gewone brieven en kaarten kunnen wel zonder enige aanvullingen naar bovenstaand adres worden gestuurd.
Mercy Ships telt op het moment ruim 800 fulltime vrijwilligers. Zo'n 450 van hen wonen en werken op een schip, de anderen op één van de kantoren in diverse landen of een basis in Sierra Leone. Ieder van hen zorgt zelf voor het verzamelen van een kring van sponsors om in het levensonderhoud te voorzien.
Wat ik vooral belangrijk vind is ondersteuning in gebed en het onderhouden van contact met 'het thuisfront'. Ik vind het leuk om reacties te lezen ('k zal er niet altijd op reageren vrees ik), dus voel je vrij om een berichtje op deze site achter te laten!

[description] => Ruim 10 jaar geleden kwam ik in aanraking met de Mercy Ships, een christelijke organisatie die hoop en genezing wil brengen aan de zieken en allerarmsten van de wereld. Zij doet dit door operaties die in het land zelf niet worden uitgevoerd of onbetaalbaar zijn voor de bevolking, gratis te verrichten op een schip dat ingericht is als ziekenhuis. Er is op dit moment één schip in de vaart; de ‘Africa Mercy’. Dit schip vaart langs verschillende West-Afrikaanse landen en ligt daar dan een aantal maanden in de haven om de mensen te ontvangen. Het was voor mij sindsdien een droom om op zo’n schip te kunnen werken.
Ik geloof dat we als kinderen van God mogen dromen en dat God de verlangens die we hebben, wil gebruiken. Ik heb een lange tijd in de leugen geloofd dat iedereen toch wel zoiets zou willen en dat ik daar niet goed genoeg voor was. Maar voor God zijn we wel goed genoeg. U bent uniek en ik ben uniek. We hebben allemaal onze eigen talenten en mogelijkheden, Hij wil die juist gebruiken. Ik ontdekte hierin Gods hart en besefte dat ik deze ‘droom’ mocht gaan nastreven.

Op 20 september ben ik door Evangelische Gemeente Jozua uitgezonden worden als zendeling. Op 2 oktober ben ik naar Benin gevlogen om een paar dagen later te beginnen met mijn werkzaamheden als verpleegkundige.
Het schip ligt tot half december nog in de haven van Cotonou, Benin.
Het werk is op vrijwillige basis met kosten voor voedsel en onderdak op eigen rekening, dit geldt voor alle medewerkers. Hierdoor kunnen alle operaties gratis gedaan worden!
